VEDA’S MILLET BASED POWDER FOR IRON DEFICIENCY
Veda’s Millet-Iron-Vita powder for iron deficiency is a nutrient-dense, gluten-free, plant-based flour derived from finely ground whole millets which are naturally rich in iron, protein, and dietary fiber. It serves as a healthy alternative to refined flours to combat iron deficiency and anemia.
Millets Powder for iron deficiency:
High Iron Content: They have more iron than wheat or rice.
Improved Absorption: Contain factors like amino acids and fiber that help your body absorb iron.
Boosts Hemoglobin: Studies show regular consumption significantly increases hemoglobin and ferritin levels.
Finger Millet (Ragi): A powerhouse of Iron, Calcium and other essential nutrients.
Pearl Millet (Bajra): High in iron, fiber, and protein, significantly boosting iron absorption. Contains over 11 mg of iron per 100g.
Sorghum (Jowar): Contains good iron and antioxidants for oxygen transport.
Foxtail Millet: Offers decent iron, protein, and fiber.
Pomegranate Seeds: Helps fight iron deficiency by providing Vitamin C and antioxidants
Thyme: Good source of iron and helps with deficiency
Dill Seeds: Good source of non-heme iron (plant-based iron).
Cumin: This is the most significant source of iron among the listed spices, with 100 grams of cumin containing over 8 times the daily recommended amount of iron (though only small amounts are typically consumed). It is essential for red blood cell production and helps in the treatment of anemia by directly contributing iron.
Fenugreek Seeds: These seeds are also loaded with iron and folic acid, both of which help to increase hemoglobin levels naturally.
Cardamom: While not as rich in iron as cumin or fenugreek, cardamom is a good source of Vitamin C, which is crucial as it significantly increases the body’s absorption of non-heme iron (plant-based iron).
Fennel Seeds: Fennel seeds also contain iron and help in digestion, ensuring better overall nutrient absorption.
Cinnamon and Cloves: These spices contain valuable phytochemicals and antioxidants that support overall health.
Black Pepper: Contains iron and can improve the bioavailability of iron from other foods.
