INGREDIENTS: Pearl Millets, Finger Millets, Little Millets, Foxtail Millets, Sorghum Millets, Barnyard Millets, Browntop Millets, Kodo Millets, Proso Millets. Split Moong Dal, Jaggery, Cardamom, Cashew, Dry Ginger Powder.
PREPARATION: Boil 6 cup water and add 1 cup (for 5 person per time) Payasam/Kheer mix and mix well. Once boiled cook in low flame for 15 minutes. Rest for 10 minutes. Serve hot. Options: Add 2 TBS ghee in a pan and heat, add coconut chunks, cashew and raisins and fry. Add to the Payasam/Kheer. You can also add 1 cup coconut milk or diary milk just before flame off.
PREPARE YOURSELF: For a better healthy life do regular exercises, practice meditation and yoga. Don’t consume more than 100 grams millets a day because of digestive issues. Drink more water when eating millet because millets are high in fiber, and water is needed to help digest this fiber and prevent digestive issues like gas and bloating.
Caution: People with existing health issues/illness/specific health conditions, such as thyroid disorders, kidney issues/kidney stone (due to oxalates), or grain allergies, sensitive digestive systems or low gastric acidity or colon inflammation should avoid millet or consume it in moderation.
